If you want a women's boutique just off Centre Street, Violet Bloom sits at 12 South Third Street and keeps its racks full of everyday dresses, sets, denim and sweaters. Owner Alison explains on the shop's Our Story page that she learned retail at a Winter Park boutique specializing in baby and women's fashion while she was in college, then spent 14 years as a licensed hair stylist before opening a store of her own. She describes Violet Bloom as a joint venture with her young daughter, under the line "a mother's love for fashion and a little girl's dream."

According to its location page, the store is open every day, with evening hours until 7 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, which helps if you're shopping after an early dinner. It's on the same block of South Third as Monkey Barrel of Amelia, so a kids' stop is easy to fold in.
