The value
Why clients choose us
Local to the barrier island
Amelia is its own weather story. We know what flooded last time, which streets close first, and how your neighborhood fared in past storms.
Before, during and after
Prep in the days leading up. Monitoring while it passes. Recovery walk-throughs the moment it's safe to be on the island.
Shutter & generator coordination
Accordion shutters, plywood, standby generators, fuel: the logistics that go sideways under pressure. We handle it calmly.
Insurance-ready photo docs
Photos with timestamps, organized so you can hand them directly to your carrier if a claim becomes necessary.
What to expect
How it actually works

Before the storm: securing the property
Once a named storm threatens the island, the prep checklist runs: patio furniture in, pool secured, generator tested, fuel topped, valuables elevated, and shutters up. Before anyone stops watching the weather, the house is closed up and the status is confirmed back to you.
- Outdoor furniture, grills, planters brought inside
- Generator tested, fuel stocked
- Accordion or panel shutters installed

During the storm: staying in the loop
Boots-on-the-ground matters during a storm. As long as conditions allow safe movement, properties get checked, conditions get reported back, and anything that matters for later gets logged. When it's not safe to move, we wait, and resume as soon as we can.
- Real-time updates as conditions allow
- Power, water, and access status from the ground
- Movement stops when unsafe, and resumes the moment it can

After the storm: damage, docs, and dispatch
As soon as the island reopens, your property gets walked and a full damage report lands in your inbox. Roofs, fencing, landscaping, intrusion, power state, water lines, everything. Where action is needed (tarping a roof, cutting a tree off the driveway, dispatching a restoration vendor), it starts as soon as possible. Photos go to you and, if you want, straight to your insurance adjuster.
- Property walkthrough once the island reopens
- Detailed damage report with photos
- Emergency tarping, tree removal, water extraction dispatch
- Insurance claim documentation, timeline, and vendor coordination

“My husband and I were away this summer. We hired Sarah and Ryan Stewart with InComfort Living. We could not be more pleased with their service. They not only found things that needed attention, they met with the service people here. They were tremendously caring and anticipated things that needed taking care of. We would definitely recommend them and will use them again.”

“I discovered Sarah and Ryan four years ago and they have been watching my home every summer since. They have also helped me with several short notice repairs. Their service has made my life easier and given me a sense of peace while I am gone. They are professional, reliable, and excellent communicators. I get an update after each property check. I have not hesitated to recommend them to friends and friends of friends.”

“Ryan is highly recommended. When you work with someone relocating their nuclear family of five from New York to Florida, you witness their character during the process. Ryan is diligent, thoughtful, intelligent, compassionate and the epitome of a family man. Trustworthy and ethical, one would be fortunate to have Ryan on the scene in one's absence. Two words that come to mind: dependable and reliable.”

“We hired InComfort Living over a year ago and have never looked back! Sarah and Ryan have exceeded all expectations. They are proactive, prompt, efficient and always ready to help in any situation. Just as important, they are a joy to work with. Their superpower is communication — I can always count on them to let me know if everything is fine at our condo or if something is amiss. I HIGHLY recommend InComfort Living.”
