You can rent a golf cart for a day or a whole week from Roadshark Powersports, a golf cart dealership and service shop at 515 South 8th Street in Fernandina Beach. Selling and servicing carts is the main business. It's an authorized dealer for Denago EV, Boca and Alset, it can source new and used Yamaha, Club Car and E-Z-GO carts, and it also sells e-bikes and lifestyle EVs.
Carts rent by the day, with multi-day rates for longer stays. Roadshark will deliver the cart for a fee each way, which helps if you're staying at a beach rental and don't want to drive to the shop. Carts come from the Denago EV, Boca EV and Alset lines, and the exact model, color and seat count depend on what's available when you book. A few requirements:
- The primary renter must be at least 21 and show a valid driver's license.
- Every rental needs a deposit.
Rentals are available seven days a week, but the showroom itself is open only Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., so call during those hours to set up delivery or pickup. Roadshark doesn't list bike rentals, only e-bikes for sale. If you'd rather pedal, Bike Amelia rents and delivers bikes. A cart works well for short hops between your rental, the beach and historic downtown, where Centre Street runs from the river to 8th Street.
