If you're looking for The Lavender Store, you'll find it at 15 South 4th Street, a few steps south of Centre Street, not on Centre itself as some older listings show. It's the shop many people still know as Pelindaba Lavender. Its owners, Pam and Heather, ran Pelindaba Lavender stores on Amelia Island and in St. Augustine until 2024, then rebranded and consolidated both into this storefront. They say they still handcraft all the Pelindaba products their customers know.

The pair fell for lavender after visiting a farm in the Pacific Northwest, and they make their products here on Amelia Island. The range is sorted by where you'd use it:

  • Body: soap, lotion, lip balm, insect repellent and a lavender treatment stick
  • Home: room and linen sprays, sachets and diffusers
  • Kitchen: lavender for cooking, plus chocolates and toffee
  • Pets and travel: a pet collection and travel-size products

The website also posts lavender recipes, from sweet tea to crème brûlée, and how-tos on growing, pruning and drying the plant.

If you're planning a wedding or party on the island, the store makes favors and thank-you gifts and can personalize some products and packaging with enough lead time. It delivers locally on Amelia Island, ships to an event location or sets orders aside for in-store pickup. Corporate gift orders work the same way, and the store asks for those to be finalized three weeks before they ship.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The phone is (904) 432-7300. España Restaurant and Tapas is on the same block at 22 South 4th, and the rest of downtown Fernandina Beach shopping is right around the corner on Centre Street.
