If you want fine jewelry from independent designers rather than a traditional bridal case, Lindy's at 110 Centre Street has been selling it in downtown Fernandina Beach since 2001. Lindy, the owner, grew up here and was working as a bench jeweler in town by 18. She went on to a fine jeweler in Jacksonville, earned a Graduate Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America in New York, and worked at Tiffany & Co. on Fifth Avenue before opening her own store back home.
The showroom is in a brick building from around 1900 that started out as a general store. Inside, the focus is designer pieces. Names on the store's designer list include Zoë Chicco, Gigi Clozeau, Pascale Monvoisin, Meira T, Melissa Joy Manning, Celine Daoust, Aili, Scosha and Monaka. The collections cover:
- Necklaces, the largest category in the online shop
- Diamond, gemstone, signet, stacking and statement rings, plus eternity bands
- Studs, hoops, threaders, statement earrings and single earrings
- Bracelets and gift cards

For engagement rings, loose diamonds, appraisals or repairs, Robison Jewelry is a block up Centre at 217 and lists all of those services. Lindy's is in the first block of Centre, across from The Cinnamon Bear Country Store. If you order from the website while you're off the island, mail and package management can bring the delivery inside instead of leaving it on the porch.
