You can get lunch or dinner a few steps from the pool deck at Surfcaster, the poolside seafood restaurant at Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa, 39 Beach Lagoon Road. It used to be called Oceanside. Omni gave it a new name and identity and reopened it in early November 2025 as one of the first pieces of a resort-wide renovation, and painted murals by artist Chera Brooker now cover the exterior walls nearby.
The resort describes Surfcaster as fresh seafood and poolside favorites served in a relaxed boathouse setting, with coastal design and outdoor seating. It's open every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., which covers a long lunch between swims as well as dinner. The pool deck next to it is one Omni bills as the largest in Northeast Florida, with an adults-only infinity-edge pool, a family pool and a kids' splash area.
One rule matters if you aren't a resort guest. Omni asks locals and anyone not staying at the resort to make a reservation so they can get through the community gate. The resort sits inside the gated Amelia Island Plantation community, so book before you drive down rather than planning to walk in.
