You can get sushi and hibachi under one roof at Fancy Sushi Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar, 1478 Sadler Road, for lunch or dinner and for eat-in or take-out. Sadler Road is the cross-island road that runs from the 8th Street side of town out toward the beach. The restaurant is open six days a week and closed on Mondays: 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The menu on its online ordering page is long. The sushi side has nigiri and sashimi by the piece, standard maki, and a page of house rolls with local names, among them the Amelia Island Roll (snow crab and tempura shrimp under avocado, cucumber, mango and strawberry), the Jax Roll, the Hwy. 17 Roll and the Fancy Q Roll. The kitchen side covers hibachi shrimp, scallops, chicken, steak and vegetables, plus tempura, teriyaki and katsu plates. Starters range from edamame and gyoza to yakitori, soft shell crab and tuna tataki.
Lunch specials run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The sushi lunches come with soup and salad, and the hibachi, teriyaki and tempura lunches add rice, which makes it a practical midday stop between errands or beach time.
