Wild Amelia Nature Festival 2027
The 18th annual Wild Amelia Nature Festival is Saturday, May 15, 2027, with special events in the week before: environmental exhibitors, live animals, local musicians, and food trucks, run by Keep Nassau Beautiful.
Keep Nassau Beautiful has set the 18th annual Wild Amelia Nature Festival for Saturday, May 15, 2027, with special events leading up to it in the week before. The full 2027 schedule and venue haven't been posted yet.
What to expect
The main festival day brings together more than 50 environmental exhibitors and vendors focused on conservation, with live animals, local musicians, and food trucks. For a sense of the week, the 2026 festival ran ten days, May 8 to 17, with guided kayak, boat, fossil-hunting and e-bike tours, birding and greenway walks, Wild Storytime, a community cleanup, and a nature photography celebration at the Fort Clinch Visitors Center, all leading up to a Saturday Eco-Expo at Main Beach Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Good to know
In 2026 several of the festival-week walks and talks were free, while the outfitter-run ecotours set their own prices. It's an easy way for visitors and second-home owners to see the island's wildlife and ecosystems up close.
Pair nature weekend planning with the live events calendar and, for an inland overnight, the Gold Head Branch camping guide.
