Amelia Island Book Festival 2027
The island's annual literary festival returns with its main author day on Saturday, February 27, 2027: dozens of authors for presentations, signings, and an author expo in Fernandina Beach.
The Amelia Island Book Festival brings authors and readers together each winter. The organizer lists the 2027 festival and Author Expo for Saturday, February 27, 2027, in Fernandina Beach, with its Authors in Schools program visiting Nassau County classrooms the day before, Friday, February 26.
What to expect
Saturday is the public day: visiting authors present in breakout sessions and meet readers at the Author Expo, where they show and sell their books. In recent years more than 100 authors have taken part. The nonprofit's work centers on literacy, and its Authors in Schools program buys each participating student a copy of the visiting author's book.
Good to know
In recent years the Saturday Author Expo has been free to attend, with fundraising events such as the Celebrity Author Gala around it. The 2027 venue and schedule haven't been posted yet, so check the official festival site as details are announced.
